Early Battle System showcase


Just a small devlog this week. We are reaching the final touch for the update, hopefully, so not a lot to say.

That being said; the battle system! Not something to be implemented in this update, but I'm slowly working on it, seeing if it works, how it can look, etc. It still lacks several UI elements like HP and all that jazz, but this is basically it.



As for how it works, well, basically, the gem will move to the left, right, or stay in the canter, and she'll do a movement, depending on the movement, you should perform an action, and the outcome depends on your activities on top of her, which includes you being damaged, she is damaged, the damage being halved for either, being multiplied, or no damage at all. I wanted to keep it simple, the trial and error should come from seeing their pattern. Speaking of which, there's a timer, so you better act fast or you will be damaged. Hopefully, this will be a short, but fast-paced minigame to keep things fun and engaging. It will be mandatory in some parts of the game, mind you.
